Nagaworld are on the verge of clinching the league championships this season as they top the league table with four matches to go, while Matthew Osa is hopeful that Coach Meas Channa’s side can maintain their mentality in the remaining league matches.
Nagaworld occupy the top spot in the Metfone Cambodian League table after defeating defending champions Boeung Ket 2-0 at the Army Stadium thanks to Matthew Osa’s opener and Sung Chihoon’s further goal in the second half.
After securing twelve points from their last four league matches, Nagaworld are in a good pole to win the league title, with Matthew Osa demonstrating that his side’s spirit is high in fighting to get what they deserve.
With eighteen league matches down and four to go, Nagaworld are leading the race for the league title as they are two points ahead of second-placed Boeung Ket, meaning that they will lift the league trophy should they claim four victories from their remaining league matches.
Matthew Osa told TheMorning: “We are trying our best, and we continue to do so until the last game.
“We get better in every game, and if we can continue with this mentality, hopefully we can get what we deserve at the end of the season.”
Nagaworld are also just two matches away from clinching the Hun Sen Cup this season as they reach the semi-finals of the tournament, where they face Ministry of National Defense on September 1st.
