Ministry of National Defense defeated Nagaworld 3-1 in the extra times to secure their spot in the Hun Sen Cup finals. Nagaworld were in front through Nhim Sovannara’s early goal as the center-back took the ball from Ministry of National Defense goalkeeper Um Sereiroth’s error to net home the opening goal.
Sok Heang made it 1-1 for Ministry of National Defense with a low shot after receiving a great ball from Touch Roma, who broke into Nagaworld’s penalty box with a brilliant individual stuff.
Coach Phea Sopheaktra’s side scored two consecutive goals in the extra times thanks to center-back Sor Piseth’s early extra-time header and Chhin Chhoeun’s late goal to claim their place in the Hun Sen Cup finals.
G.C National Police overcame Angkor Tiger to reach the Hun Sen Cup finals with a huge 2-0 victory thanks to Nuon Borey’s opener and Lun Chamroeun’s further goal. Nuon Borey produced double strikes before finding the back of the net as his first attempt was well blocked by Angkor Tiger center-back Chhum Pisal, but the ball reached him again, with the forward unleashing another effort into the top right corner.
A poor pass from Angkor Tiger defender in front of his own penalty box saw G.C National Police steal the ball before Ol Ravy made a perfect cross for Lun Chamroeun to score G.C National Police’s second goal with a diving header.
Following the semi-final clashes, Ministry of National Defense will face G.C National Police in the finals at the National Olympic Stadium on October 6th.
