Dzarma Bata on a clash with Nagaworld: Anything can happen

Dzarma Bata is aware of the tough league meeting for Soltilo Angkor when they welcome league leaders Nagaworld at the Siem Reap Stadium this weekend but insists that his side will fight hard to get points.

With four league matches to go, Nagaworld occupy the top spot in the Metfone Cambodian League table, leading the second-placed Boeung Ket by two points and with three points ahead of Visakha, who sit in the third place, meaning that they can’t drop points against Soltilo Angkor if they are to win the league championships this season.

The Siem Reap-based club are tenth in the league table after eighteen league matches with four wins, four draws, and ten losses, but they also need points from Nagaworld to secure a higher league position than their Siem Reap rivals, Angkor Tiger.

Soltilo Angkor were beaten 2-1 after Visakha came from behind to secure all three points, so Dzarma Bata is hopeful that Coach Yuki Matsuda’s side will learn something from last weekend’s disappointing defeat.

Dzarma Bata will be Soltilo Angkor’s key man in their attack, with the Nigerian forward, who has much experience in Cambodia’s top tier, scoring thirteen league goals since joining the Siem Reap side this season.

Dzarma Bata told TheMorning: “It’s going to be a hard game, but we just fight hard and get a good result.

“Nagaworld are coming with all their best to win, so it’s not going to be easy. We will fight for our points, though. Last weekend, we scored the first goal, but at the end we lost, so we have learned from every game. Hopefully, we will try harder.

“I just wish for a good result against Nagaworld like I said it isn’t going to be an easy game because for now Nagaworld don’t want to lose any game at the moment, but anything can happen in football.”
